Evaluation

Evaluation

The Pál Szabó Primary School and Elementary Art School pay special attention to the professional teaching of foreign languages. Uniquely in the region, our institution successfully participates in three Erasmus+ applications at the same time. With these applications, we want to make all students fall in love with the English and German languages even more, as they can be enriched with a lifelong experience and experience during one of these types of mobility and lifelong friendships are made.

This was also the case starting from 03.06.2023, since four students and two teachers of our institution are participating in a meeting in France.

"After a long journey, we happily arrived in Fontainbleau, France. Turkey, Poland, Greece, Italy, Hungary and, of course, the host France will be represented at the meeting.

During the first three days, we got to know the history of Fontainbleau and Provins, we also visited the host school. We can participate in sessions that develop innovative mathematical and logical thinking every day, which are organized at the local school. Of course, we also take our part in the tasks of the meeting, since we presented our institution, our city, Vésztő in English to the other partners. Our stay here also includes a study trip, since we visited the medieval castle of Provins, where we learned a lot of interesting information about the mysterious secrets of the Middle Ages.

During the week, we will also visit Paris, where the sights of the city will be presented.

We are very happy for the opportunity and trust that our journey will not end here, as the next meeting will be in Vésztő and Italy.
Thank you Erasmus+!"

Literature- Evaluation

1. The schools online book club and reading club are designed not only to help students understand compulsory reading, but also to give them the opportunity to share their favourite books and texts.

2. Our teachers, who are trained in literary therapy, use the sessions to show how texts can help the reader in an individual way. As each person reads into their own identity, it gives them the opportunity to understand that their problems are not unique and that there are solutions. Dixit, OH, INUK cards are used in these sessions, as well as texts written by the children.Experience has shown that writing poems and texts together increases group cohesion.

3. Our school also organises poetry and storytelling competitions where pupils win book prizes.

4. We also organise special literature classes. The most recent one was a playful, experiential exploration of the difference between free verse and closed verse.

5. Prose and Literature Team Competition. The competition was very complex: the preliminary task was to design a book cover and write a short story, and our students also prepared a dramatised version of a short scene. On the spot, they also competed in an 8-round theoretical competition.
